robert from laguna beach. he's best friends with a guy who’s often seen up, down and around market street with a shopping cart selling things he finds.

robert lives in low income housing. he does odd jobs through st. vincent's vocational services.

You make excellent portraits. Just the kind I've always wanted to do. Your set of pictures might just be the inspiration I needed. Listen, do you use a green filter when taking those? Or do you take them RAW and then play around with the channel mixer? Keep up the great work.

This man struck me for how handsome he is -- like many of the people you've photographed, you seem to catch what they could be in another life (a kindly professor, a movie star, a model, a traditional grandmother with cookies...)

Your photos are absolutely phenomenal. You capture emotion so well. What camera/lens are you using for these? and what sort of postproduction?

I can see the similarity to Dorothea Lange's work, the detail, the hard life lived that shows in the face, the quality of the black and white, and the fact that he doesn't seem completely beaten down. Good portrait, stoneth.
