amazing. im not putting down your B&W work, because its amazing...but, seeing these people in color really brings them to life on the screen. their faces are so filled with character and the color just enhances it, the dirt and wrinkles and their emotion. for me, color is always more powerful. in any case, incredible work..all of it!

i can see now what you mean by color being a bit of a distraction with all the sores and marks on his face. it's almost painful to look at. hmmm, but maybe that's how it should be?

Powerful portrait - - from the handknit cap to the blanket(?) over one shoulder... he continues to smile.
What I find MOST intriguing is the pristine condition of the white skin under his eyes... If I stare long enough at that and his eyes, all I begin to see in this picture is the man behind the mask. That tiny bit of white alone lets me see the real man.
That whiteness is almost like a bookmark to reminds us that beneath this sun-and-misfortune ravaged mask lies a good man no different that you or I. It's humbling actually.
Great, great job - great choice to go with color here too. You are inspiring!
